The Icom UT-106 is an internal DSP (Digital Signal Processing) unit for the IC-706MK2, IC-PCR100, IC-PCR1000, IC-718 and IC-R75. It installs in minutes with no soldering and new feature icons are automatically added to the radio's display. The module offers automatic noise reduction which automatically attenuates beat tones, tuning signals, etc.—even if they are moving—in SSB, FM and AM modes. All mode noise reduction is also offered, which separates signals from noise, digitally removing much of the unwanted noise.
