| The MFJ 1798 is a ten band halfwave vertical antenna. Like the 1796, it's a ground independent halfwave, so no radials or ground plane are needed. The antenna is very efficient because it is end loaded with the feed point at the top of the antenna, so the entire antenna radiates. The 1798 offers a low angle of radiation, and uses no lossy traps. It achieves a close 50 Ohm match across all the bands, requires no switching. | |||
