| The LDG Electronics DM-7800 is an external dual meter system designed specifically for the Icom IC-7800 transceiver. Icom did a pretty good job with its virtual LCD meters, but many hams prefer a real, live, honest-to-goodness meter. The DM-7800 provides two 4.5" meters, one for the main receiver and another for the sub receiver. Both are back lit by high-visibility cool blue LED back lights, which draw only 20-60 mA, depending on back panel brightness setting. Separate calibration pots are provided on the back panel. Simply connect with the supplied cable, and select meter function via the radio's menu settings. Can be used with the radio's virtual meters, for example you can display SWR on the radio's meter, and power output on the DM-7800. On RX, the s-meter reading is shown. | |||
