The Ameritron AL-80B is a 1000 watt linear amplifier covering all HF ham and WARC bands (a simple user mod allows 10/12m operation). It is designed around a single 3-500Z tube, and is rated at 66% efficiency. The amplifier features a heavy duty power supply, dual illuminated cross needle meters, adjustable ALC, inrush current protection, dynamic ALC (which increases average SSB power), a multivoltage transformer (offers 14 primary voltages from 90-140 vAC and 205-250 vAC), and more.
